OUR ORIGIN STORY

PROATHLON began with a simple realisation from husband-and-wife team Simon Jackson and Rachel Surgeoner: the standard gym model just wasn’t good enough.

Traditional gyms were packed with machines, crowded rooms, and staff who seemed more focused on the front desk than the people training. It didn’t inspire them and they knew it wasn’t inspiring others either.

But more than that, those gyms offered access, not progress. Simon and Rachel wanted to provide something far more meaningful: a system that guides people, supports them, and helps them move forward in their health and fitness journey.

They envisioned something different:

  • A place where people feel supported, coached, and genuinely cared for.
  • A gym built around people, not packed membership lists.

And that vision became PROATHLON.
